What can you expect from Winter Camp?
During the 'Fantastic Farm Adventure' Winter Camp, the children will enjoy busy timetable of creative activities, including meeting the wonderful animals at the farm, feeding them, petting them and learning all about them.
In drama, they will learn about how to become different characters through interactive storytelling and games. They will travel to magical lands, where they will use their imaginations to become different characters through freeze frames, improvisation and role-play. Our team encourage children to feel confident and comfortable and our facilitators are highly experienced in helping even the shyest of children to feel at ease and able to express themselves in a safe environment.
Children will sing songs and learn simple and fun dance moves to energetic, upbeat music. The art will be focused around animals, but we don't need to create them as we see them on the farm, they can be as creative as we like and even create new animals or superhero animals! The possibilities are endless. Children in the older group will also be given the opportunity to write stories/poems about what they have seen around the farm.
Who will be facilitating the Camp?
With a passion and flare for drama, music and movement, Ruth Silver founded her brand to instill confidence in children through creative arts.
We run engaging parent-present music, movement & drama classes for 0-4 year olds as well as structured primary school drama sessions for 4-11 year olds and amazing children's parties for 1-7 year olds.
Ruth is highly skilled with a BA Hons degree in Drama, Applied Theatre and Education from The Royal Central School of Speech & Drama and her and her professional team has over 10 years of experience working in the performing arts and education.
Ruth will be running the camp with one or two trained colleagues depending on numbers. There will be up to 20 children. Teachers are DBS checked and Ruth is First Aid trained. The children will be wearing high visibility vests so that they can be seen at all times in the group.
We are passionate about igniting children's imaginations so they can bounce with energy and confidence!
